How do you plan to proceed with the last four months of 2013?
The last quarter of the year is always busy.
Ben plays football, so we’re always running to pick him up from practice, going to games all over town; and, because Dave and I are part of the Booster Club, we will serve dinner for the boys before one of the games.
We also decided to participate in the football pool that my parents do every year. That should be interesting. It would be nice to win some money by being the best guessers!
I’m in a book club with some really interesting women…including my mother. We meet once a month, and we’ve got some good books lined up for this year. We take the summer off, and start up again in September.
I’m anticipating that work will be crazy, thanks to Healthcare Reform. I work for an insurance brokerage, and we’ve had to become very familiar with the rules and changes that will kick in January 1st. We’ve sent out notices to all of our clients regarding the upcoming open enrollment for the Marketplace, and this has generated many, many phone calls and emails.
We’re also going to be putting in a new agency management system. This will require training, and time spent on administrative work to get information entered into the system.
Another trip to Reno is probably in the cards, as well.
Dave has his next round of medical tests in September. We’re hoping that the Four Horsemen remain unchanged.
Add to all of this another Sketchbook Project that will be due in January, some art projects for friends, possibly some version of Reverb, and of course, the holidays.
Somewhere in all of this, I want to get back to a regular routine with exercise, and I’d like to spend some time with friends and family.
Looking back over the list, it would appear that I’ll be finishing the year at a sprint!
My friends Kat & Meredith have provided a wonderful new opportunity for inspiration through August Moon. Won’t you join us?
What is August Moon?
Once in a blue moon, what would you wish for?
On 21 August 2013, we will be experiencing a “blue moon”. There are varying definitions of “blue moon”, but the one we’re working with is the third full moon of the season. Whether you’re a star gazer or not, full moons are undeniably powerful times. As we transition into the last quarter of the year, we are inviting you to join us in responding to a series of prompts designed to bring you closer to all you wanted 2013 to be. We reckon that now is the time to ask: the universe will hear you.
